Poker has become globally celebrated recently, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, arcs back in reality a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years numerous variants on the original poker game have been created, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the players wager against the dealer rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no conniving or other types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up before the dealer announcing "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different gamblers are given 5 cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the dealer's 1st card, you need to in turn make a call wager or surrender. The call wager's amount is on same level to your original bet, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Giving Up means that your ante goes immediately to the bank. After the bet is the conclusion. If the house does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, with an amount on par with the ante. If the house does have ace/king or better, you win if your hand defeats the bank's hand. The casino pays out money equal to your initial bet and set odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
