Annie Duke might not have won her first World Series of Poker Bracelet until two thousand and four but she remains one of the most powerful poker players around the ring matches at The Bellagio in Sin City. Annie's long-overdue WSOP win came with a win at the "forgotten game" of Omaha Hi-Lo.

While competitors from the "younger generation" of poker go crazy following a huge success at the tables, Annie heads home to be "mommy" to her four kids. She hails from NH and was raised into a family of poker players. If you don't accept that, check out her sibling, Howard Lederer, when he plays, who taught her how to play poker.

However, Annie Duke is no small change girl and has captured her share of hard matches, including knocking out Howard along the way on numerous occasions.

Winning over $3 million in tournament play, Annie became a consultant to both UltimateBet and Hollywood actor Ben Affleck, who wanted to build up his techniques to become a force at the poker table.

You might just run into Annie at the Bellagio, you'll see her on television and you might just even play against her in a net poker match, but do not expect a simple win. Unless you're a champion-in-the-making, you'll not defeat her. However, it would be fun to say you played at the same table as "The Duke".
