Internet poker has become globally famous lately, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, arcs back in fact a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years many variations on the original poker game have been developed, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling twenty-one than long-standing poker, in that the players wager against the dealer instead of each other. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little conniving or different kinds of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up just before the croupier declares "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the bank and of course every one of the other players attain 5 cards each. After you have observed your hand and the bank's 1st card, you must in turn make a call wager or surrender. The call wager's value is akin to your original wager, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your bet goes immediately to the casino. After the bet is the showdown. If the house doesn't have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, plus an amount in accordance with the ante. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand beats the bank's hand. The house pony's up money equal to your original bet and fixed odds on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
