Ah, the steam. If a poker player claims never to have looked down the shadow of a looming poker tilt - they're either lying or they haven't been competing long enough. This doesn't mean obviously that every poker player has gone on tilt in the past, a handful of people have great willpower and take their squanderings as a loss and keep it at that. To be a good poker gambler, it is absolutely important to treat your wins and your defeats in the same manner - with little emotion. You participate in the game the same way you did following a hard loss like you would after winning a huge hand. Many of the poker pros are not attracted by tilting after a horrible loss as they are highly accomplished and you should be to.

You need to understand that you can not win each and every hand you are in, even if you are heavily favored. You have lost $80 in a round where you were sure to pick up $200two hundred dollars when you decided to go all-in on the flop and enjoyed a ten to one edge. And that fiend! He bled you dry on the river? - Well stop right here. This is a quintessential opportunity for a new bettor to start tilting. They basically burned too much cash on one round that they really should have won and they're angry
